Some things a piper can do on your big day. . .

• ​​Pipe the bride up the aisle
       Nothing says “here comes the bride” like the dramatic sound of bagpipes.
• Play as the register is being signed
       Your piper can play some suitable pipe music during the signing of the register.
• Pipe the bride and groom out of the church or venue
       Announce the newlyweds to the world with the skirl of the pipes.
• Playing outside the venue
       The piper can be outside waiting for the happy couple to emerge.
• Play as photographs are being taken
       Usually played from a distance away, so that Nan can hear when she’s needed for the photos.
• Piping the guests or the top table into the reception
       Give your guests the chance to feel that they are an important part of your day.
• Piping the bride & groom into the reception
       Make a grand entrance to the reception by being piped to the top table.
• The Pipers Toast
       A Scottish tradition is for the piper to give a toast after they have piped the bride and                     groom to the top table.

You don’t have to have your piper doing these things, they are just suggestions. At Devon Bagpiper we have done lots of different things at weddings, we are always happy to try something different. You could even have two pipers or a piper and a drummer.
